Carly Fiorina Fired

Its old news by now....but in case you live in a cave, today Carly was fired.

I honestly don't know what HP's board was thinking when they hired her. When she first joined many of us longtime HP Friends/Family/Employee's wondered how an outsider (she was the first CEO to be "brought in") could do in a company that is very much family. I would hope HP learns its lesson this time. Bill & Dave inspired a great culture and built a company that was the rock of stability. They did this by hiring great people, by teaching great people all about a business and then by letting them run it.

Let's hope that HP's board looks inside as they choose a replacement CEO. HP sits at a very difficult point right now as they now have an arsenal & traction to compete with IBM/DELL/SUN.
